Born in Ethiopia
Ethiopia is widely regarded as the birthplace of Arabica coffee, home to an extraordinary diversity of coffee varieties, growing regions and flavour profiles.
For Bunna House, Ethiopia is where our coffee journey begins. We source our coffees from Ethiopian origins, selecting beans for their distinctive character and the unique qualities shaped by altitude, climate, variety and processing.
Every coffee carries a story of its origin — and our role is to preserve that character through roasting and, ultimately, into your cup.
Closer to the Farmer. Closer to the Coffee.
Great coffee begins long before it reaches the roastery.
We source our green coffee directly from Ethiopian farmers and producers, bringing us closer to the people, places and harvests behind every bean.
This direct connection gives us a deeper understanding of each coffee — where it was grown, how it was harvested and processed, and the qualities that make each origin unique.
By staying closer to the source, we can select coffees that reflect the remarkable character and diversity of Ethiopian coffee.
From the Tree to the Cup
01 — Grown
Our journey begins in the Ethiopian highlands, where altitude, climate and generations of coffee-growing knowledge shape every harvest.
02 — Harvested
Ripe cherries are carefully hand-picked and processed, preparing the coffee while developing the distinctive qualities of each harvest.
03 — Roasted
At Bunna House, we roast our coffee fresh, developing each profile to reveal the sweetness, aroma and character held within the bean.
04 — Brewed
The journey comes together in the cup — origin, processing and roasting, carefully brewed for you to enjoy at Bunna House or at home.
OUR ROASTERY
Roasted Fresh. Every Day.
Freshness is at the heart of how we roast.
At Bunna House, we roast our coffee daily, carefully developing each batch to bring out the character of its Ethiopian origin.
Rather than simply roasting for strength, we aim to reveal what makes each coffee distinctive — its aroma, sweetness, acidity, body and natural flavour.

What Shapes the Flavour?
01 — Origin
Altitude, climate, soil and coffee variety all influence the character of a coffee long before it reaches the roaster.
02 — Process
How the coffee is processed after harvest can transform its flavour. Washed, natural and controlled fermentation methods each create a different expression in the cup.
03 — Roast
Our role as roasters is to develop each coffee carefully — bringing out sweetness, aroma and balance while preserving the character of its origin.
